These impedance adapters are designed specifically for Duality and interact with the Duality's intentionally shaped impedance curve in a way that only adds sub-bass, while keeping the rest of the frequency response unchanged. The adapters also change the character of the bass from a slightly more rounded, suited for general listening, to more intense and focused, which gives you full bass intensity but might be a bit overwhelming for some.
